irfax County, officially the County of Fairfax, is located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Fairfax County borders the City of Fairfax, the City of Alexandria, and Arlington County and forms part of the suburban ring of Washington, D.C. Fairfax is home to 1,081,726 residents. City of Fairfax Parks & Recreation is a town Council-appointed Commission which oversees the public parks and recommends and organizes events and activities for Fairfax residents. Kutner Park is 10 acres with a wooded hiking path, playground & areas for picnics, volleyball, tennis & soccer. Gateway Regional Park is a park on the City of Fairfax Connector Trail offering a shelter with trail maps & a picnic area. Draper Drive Park this 16-acre recreational area contains a shaded jogging trail & 2 fields for soccer & other sports. Stafford Drive Park is a roomy park with a walking trail, playground & a multipurpose synthetic turf field. Providence Park is a shaded 20-acre park with a playground, picnic pavilion, tennis courts & a trail for hiking & biking. Pat Rodio Park is a green space on 4 acres featuring a football field, children’s playground & Little League fields. Carney Park is a 40.44-acre local park in Fairfax and was named in honor of Falls Church developer Jack W. Carney.
